Cam Newton has the chance to lead the Panthers to another conference title game, but he’ll need some help. He’s on the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook’s props board for 18.5 completions. We’re taking the UNDER.

The Panthers have played well employing a run-heavy approach in recent weeks. Over their current four-game winning streak, Newton has stayed UNDER 18 completions on three occasions. Not only are the Panthers willing to share the offensive load, but the Seahawks are also extremely tough on the pass, holding opposing quarterbacks to 18 or fewer completions eight times. That group includes Newton, who completed only 12 passes against the ‘Legion of Boom’ in a 13-9 loss in Week 8.

Sporting News’ Fantasy Source staff ranks Newton as its No. 7 quarterback for this week’s playoff games, so they’re not bullish on his prospects either.
